Restricted countries and regions
Voracex is not available everywhere. This page explains why, lists the jurisdictions we currently treat as restricted, and what that means for your account.
Draft — must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch
Why some places are restricted
Sanctions laws
Sanctions programmes prohibit financial services to certain countries, regions and people. Providing an account to someone covered by them can be unlawful, whatever the amount involved.
Licensing rules
Many countries require crypto exchanges to register or hold a licence before serving local residents. Until we hold the right authorisation, we can't offer the service there.
Local prohibitions
Some jurisdictions ban crypto trading services outright, or restrict specific products such as leveraged derivatives or yield programmes.
Current working list
Residents of fully restricted jurisdictions cannot open or use an account. In partially restricted markets, sign-up or specific products may be unavailable.
Comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions
Places subject to broad, country- or region-wide sanctions under major sanctions programmes. No accounts may be opened or used by residents, and no services are provided.

- Iran
- North Korea (DPRK)
- Crimea region of Ukraine
- So-called Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) region of Ukraine
- So-called Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) region of Ukraine
High-risk jurisdictions and extensive sanctions
Jurisdictions on the FATF list subject to a call for action, or subject to sanctions that specifically prohibit providing crypto-asset services to their residents in markets we plan to serve.

How restrictions are applied
- Country of residence is collected at sign-up and confirmed during identity verification.
- Connection signals, such as IP location, may be checked when you sign in or make a transaction.
- Accounts may be limited or closed if we learn that the holder lives in a restricted jurisdiction.
- Where an account must be closed, we will explain how to withdraw any remaining balance where the law allows it.
Travelling or moving
- Do not use a VPN or other tool to hide your location. Doing so breaks our terms and can lead to the account being restricted.
- If you move to a restricted jurisdiction, tell us so we can help you close the account in an orderly way.
- Questions about your situation? Read our Terms of Use or contact support from your account.
